Edmond W. Davis is a ‘transplant southerner’ from West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He’s an honors graduate with a BA in History from Grambling State University and has earned a Master of History from Louisiana Tech University. His professional career consists of 16 years at several colleges and universities as history professor.
Davis has made appearances on various media outlets including Fox News, Good Morning Arkansas, KARK, THV-11 News, AETN, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Power 92.3 JAMS, Victory Radio 100.9 FM, KABF FM Radio 88.3, Joy Net Radio, LIBRADIO Network (Los Angeles, Ca.), KVDW 1530 AM, and KLEK-LP at Arkansas State University. As a professional speaker he has spoken at the Arkansas State Capitol, the Little Rock Air Force Base, the Arkansas Aviation Hall of Fame and countless school and colleges. Davis has been contributor to the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame, a facilitator to the Arkansas Education Association (AEA) Prof. Dev. Days, A Humanities Scholar for the annual Arkansas Black History Quiz Bowl and countless of other events. Davis is also the author of PIONEERING AFRICAN-AMERICAN AVIATORS FEATURING THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN OF ARKANSAS and his next book called ‘21st Century African-American History Makers: A Millennial Look 2000-2020’ is slated for completion in 2020. Ed Davis is Arkansas’ premier scholar on the Tuskegee Airmen and is a sought-after social activist on relationships dealing with minorities of color and law enforcement. Davis is also the co-editor of THE WHITE GOLDEN BULL by Chet Grimsley (2009). In 2018, Edmond wrote the foreword to ‘A Better Me: Taking The Mask Off’ by Dr. Shonda Brown-Woods. Recently Davis was a candidate for Little Rock City Director as he earned the 2nd most votes by any non-incumbent candidate in the entire race in 2018. Edmond is the architect of the ‘Anybody Can Be A Prodigy’ Movement which tell youth that they can be prodigious or excel at other crafts outside of sports, entertainment and music. Davis is also the founder of Aviate through Knowledge, LLC (ATK) and the best part about Davis after Jesus Christ is his lovely wife and business partner Monica Davis and their son Kalon.
