Description
This course is an examination of child welfare as a specific component of social welfare services and a comprehensive overview of the legislative provisions, programs and services, which comprise the child welfare system in the United States. The focus is on social work practice although students entering all helping professions which serve children (i.e. ministry, social work, teaching and chld psychology). Three credit hours.
